Such is the early season. Two guys wet the bed and give up a combined 10 runs, you have a bad luck series, and your RD is terrible. We'll get a 10 run game before long that will turn that around.

It's still early but it sure looks like the people who wanted to get a #4 starter were right.

It's definitely too early for anyone to be proven right or wrong, but this scattergun approach to filling out the rotation with a bunch of unproven arms is exactly the kind of risky scenario I wanted a WS contender to avoid.

Of course, it's unfair to talk about how poorly the guys pitched yesterday without acknowledging how well Wright pitched the day before. If Wright turns into an actual MLB SP, I don't have a big problem with cobbling together the #5 spot...as long as nobody gets injured.
