Very clean GDT post.

Might be just the type of focus needed to get on track and start a streak.

Nice throw by Demeritte. They will remember that even though he didn't quite get him.

My biggest frustration with this team is the lack of quality at-bats. They’re good here and there but they are often just hapless.

Was about to post asking if TD is this year’s Heredia/Almonte.

Other notable early season stop gaps: Preston Tucker, Ryan Flaherty, and Charlie Culberson.

He’s considered to be a good defensive player, but it looks like he’s only played one minor league game in CF (weird, right?).

I do think they’re good, but they’re something like 4th in BABIP and 28th in hard hit percentage. So, they’ve been a little lucky offensively.

Pitching should be legit though.

Not to be too American racist but if they don't put the black guy in CF, then I think he can't play CF.

I just can't believe Fried has one walk to 21 strikeouts. For a guy known for being erratic at times, that's absurd.

Yea. I think that is Snit and his love of defined roles. He's probably say he wants Duvall used to seeing the same angles off the bat etc.

I just mean if you only have game in CF coming through the minors...

He's really starting to look like an impact guy. Amazing we have control through his age 30 season.

He's always been good, but I was thinking he wasn't elite. He's looking like he's growing into one of the elite guys.

I can't wait to see this pen in the postseason.

Just need 2 starters to give us 5-6 innings a game and the bullpen will close the door on the rest of the games...especially when strider finds his footing in a 2-4 inning role.

Going to be a lot of fun.

They've all gotten off to bad starts, but Pham and Naquin might also be better than what we currently have.

Yeah that team is pretty bad. We don’t have a ton to trade but will end up needing help come the deadline.

I think we need to let our minor league pot stew for a bit longer to see if anything new can float to the surface to even trade. Right now we have a few pieces of meat and a bunch of soggy celery.. we can't have any pudding if we don't get any meat.

Definitely true for anything of value. Someone like Pham- one year deal and a terrible start- isn't necessary going to cost a crazy amount.

But I'm fine hoping Demeritte can keep up a hot streak. I do worry about the viability of Duvall as an every day player with the current baseball.

It's early but all metrics show he has the range to actually play center. Offensively he's been a bit unlucky but still not good. I do think he turns that around.

On a side note, Swanson has been amazing in the field so far. Leads all MLB in 4 OAA.

Sorry, but it's time to let the Senzel "potential" love die.

Yes he's had injuries, but he just hasn't produced when he's been on the field - at whatever position. He'll be 27 in June, and he's got a career wRC+ of 79. Pache's wRC+ this season in Oakland is 72.

The Reds aren't going to give him away for non-prospects, and Harris isn't far enough away to give up anything of value for Senzel.

Yeah it wouldn’t be for a high asking price but if it’s reasonable it would be worth a shot. Harris is having a really good year so far and hopefully in a month he gets promoted to Gwinnett.

I think he's ok in CF. With his offensive profile CF really needs to be where he is to be valuable.

Really he's a guy who should be a fourth OF who plays in LF when a lefty starts. He's 33. He is a useful player but I don't think he should be a starter on most teams. Not with the way he hits RH.

Harris is really interesting. AA had a quote in spring about seeing if Harris forced himself in the conversation. I think they are counting on him to be a starter next year, if not this year. That is a little surprising given his age, his lack of experience in AA and his lack of power/loft in his swing. I'm excited about him. It seems rushed to count on a 21 y/o with 4 weeks experience in AA, that is scary.
