Yeah, said our "fanbase is larger" than the Dodgers which is absurd. Byres is a hyper guy, really worked up about nothing. Freddie won becuse he's done more than the other three guys and Puig only was up a month, its that simple.

My recollection was that Latos has owned us but that's not true. We're 2-2 vs him and some of our guys (Freeman, McCann) have done well vs him. And CJ is like 7-15 which is why he's hitting 8th, LOL.

CJ isn't hard to strike out if you get ahead on him. He's got a lot of 0-2 pitches to hit this year (hangers and fastballs mislocated). But if you just go low and away on him 0-2 he usually goes fishing. I'm afraid that the second half that more pitchers pitch him as Latos did. Sure, I think we all have a tendency to be that way.

In the end though I hope we all would love to be proven wrong about a player if it helps the Braves.

I think that is what some people don't understand when we say something negative about a player. I would hope none of us are actively rooting for a Braves player to do poorly.

BJ's a player on the other side of the coin. You expect his BABIP to correct itself at some point and he'll move back to his career norms.

AUTiger7222
07-11-2013, 06:58 PM
No one wants him to fail. It's just a fact that a player like CJ can't sustain a BABIP over .400. Hell most players that have played or will play can't. Hopefully we get as much out of him as we can before he gets back to his norms.

There's nothing wrong with his norms as a hitter. It's just that his defense is so bad it can't overcome his normal offensive production. If he were just even average defensively nobody would ever say anything bad about him.
