Northwestern will drop their program or revoked all the scholarships.

Schools are not dumb. Small schools cannot afford players because they have to get pay checks from bigger schools to play them.

Also, those players will not get scholarships but pay and pay taxes on that pay and pay dues.

This is ugly all the way around.

This doesn't affect state schools, only private, but that is another can of worms.

Can Savannah State afford paying all their football players, baseball players, basketball players 2 grand a month when they are begging someone like Kentucky 35k to play a bball game or a football game?

You can't just pay football or basketball but every athlete on the campus. You can't do it. The revenue they generate pays for teachers, facilities and what not.

If it doesn't, Northwestern said they will drop football and release all football players at the end of year from their scholarships. This will hurt them as a NU degree is almost good as an Ivy League degree and those players are not on scholarships. Northwestern can go this route as well. They have enough endowment not to have Big Ten money.

I imagine they will warn any private university to follow suit, the ones with no income and have to play bigger schools for paychecks will drop their programs.

They have no clue they are ruining college football for smaller conferences.

Every athlete at every private college will be able to unionize.
