Seeing guys like Heyward and Rendon leading off shows how there is a lack of true table setters in the league. I guess it's not cool to get on base at a .35-.38% clip and steal 50 bags while only hitting single digit homers.

Harper hurt his shoulder on a throw yesterday according to Jerome Jurenovich. Or maybe it was Ron Gant or Brian Jordan. Wasn't paying close attention. Just wanted to see if I could spell Jurenovich without looking it up.

If Uggla doesn't make that error, no runs score. The fly ball to Upton was very shallow, wouldn't have scored on it. Though they ruled that a hit and error on Uggla, should've been a straight error not getting an out. Since it wasn't that makes the run earned apparently.

Well, at least we won the series. We've squandered way too many chances today.

I thought this was a gravy game, but we've outplayed them in every way possible and may indeed lose.

Should be at worst tied right now.

Then again, i guess you can say the same thing about Game 1 where they did the same and lost, they even out over time.

Should have at least 2 runs, maybe more.

Pretty terrible.

I know its early and we've faced some tough pitching but this offense has been dissapointing.
When your 1 and 2 hitters are a combined 6/55 (.109), your offense is going to struggle.

Maybe so but let's not forget how the defense more or less was the reason he gave up the first run. Even with that being said the guy has pitched 14 innings and has only allowed 3 ER in the two games he's pitched. I'll take that every single day and some. It's always going to be a lose lose situation for Freddi. Either it's he's over using the relievers, he's over using the starters, etc. I'm sure once we have a healthy Minor and Santana we will see some spot starts in place of our young starters like Julio and Wood but Wood wasn't drafted to be a reliever. Wood has always been a starter and that's what he'll be in ATL.
