The Braves raided the independent leagues again this season, with a couple of the players on Baseball America's Top 10 prospects winding up on rosters. Notably:

RHP Race Parmenter (6th) pitched twice in relief for Rome (1 IP, 0 R, 2 K). Has a nasty split-finger fastball and had two long scoreless streaks in relief.

2B Marquis Riley (7th) was relelased with about two weeks left in camp. should wind up playing indy again

RHP Pete Perez (2nd) most intriguing of signees; Guam native who played in LL World Series in 2003. Teammate of Parmenter. Can find no info on his release (extended spring?)

FYI: Ryan Hinson, lefty who was the sleeper on my preseason Top 30, gave up no runs in 10 spring innings in minor league camp -- and got released anyway. Sigh.

That would.be huge if Graham could get back to.where he was at the end of 2012.
