If BJ doesn't start to turn in around by mid August or so we need to move on for the rest of the season. Obviously, he's not tradable and will have his job back next season but it gets to a point where fielding your best team is most important. 3.64 ERA is not mediocre. The league average ERA is over 4 dude.

Not everything for a pitcher's worth is based on ERA. It's a nice stat, but it doesn't tell the entire story.

Maholm is the one that has to go. Medlen is fine.....he won't be nor should he be replaced. You replace your worst pitcher and right now that's Maholm.

Kris Medlen is a solid pitcher. He's not a #1 or #2. He's a #3. What is wrong with that? I just don't get the hate there and how that is considered "junk". He's not Greg Maddux and was never going to be Greg Maddux and if you thought he would do what he did last year then you need to get a higher baseball IQ.

I am really liking this performance from Wood tonight. He is pitching very well and we needed him too. I was real impressed with that bases loaded with no outs situation. That was a high leverage situation if there ever is one. He responded wonderfully.
