Connects to my router but not the internet. I've tried everything I can think of. I even called Samsung, which is pretty pointless. Hope one of you guys have had the same problem and know the secret.

Do you have parental controls on the router?

Yes. But I turned them off. Didn't help.

Could have too many devices connected at once. Trying switching off your computer and turn off your wifi on your phone.

Yes. But I turned them off. Didn't help.

Did you reset the connection on the smart TV after turning off the parental controls? Or were they never on?

They were never on. But I turned them on and off and reset the TV, just to be sure.

I've never had an issue with a computer/similar that I couldn't figure out. This one is just a pain.

Yes.

WPA/WPA2 or WEP?

Try turning it off (temporarily) and see if the TV connects.

Tried three different routers. Same problem with all of them.

Sounds like it is a problem with the TV then. Have you tried resetting it to factory defaults? Figure that you probably have.

Took to the internetz for help. Have you tried saving your smart TV's MAC address into the router?

Wow. Okay. I have no clue why this worked but I unplugged it (for the 100th time), but this time I plugged it in a different slot on the surge protector and it connected...

Sounds to me like you have a smart ass tv rather than a smart tv. Check the the specs thoroughly before you buy next time.

It's quite funny, Debbie Downer. I can picture Dalyn swearing under his breath at his TV for giving him a hard time and the TV snickering in return.

Is there a reason why TV manufacturers stopped adding the Picture in Picture feature?

I have about 3-4 premium modern LED/LCD tv's... Samsung, LG, Sony and none of them have the Picture-in-Picture feature.

Yeah it's real lame. Makes no sense if you ask me.

What's lame? The Picture-in-Picture feature, or the fact they no longer have them in modern TV's?

That they don't have that feature anymore. Picture in picture was a awesome.

Oh yeah.

The only HDTV I have left is a 58" Sony Projector TV, picture is great. It's not really a picture to picture feature, but you can watch side by side. The trick is you have to use two inputs.

Because who would want to watch something on TV from say Cable, and then something else from say your DVD/Bluray. Only time I would like to have that is to watch something I'm semi-interested in on TV but I'm playing video games wouldn't mind a half and half, but with HD that doesn't work well.

That's on the cable companies though. When I had Optimum I could do PIP.

The old big screen TV's, would use two signals at once... it's not like it's groundbreaking technology.

Yeah, but that's not how modern cable boxes work. At least that's how I was explained when I worked at Dish. You need to have something capable of sending out 2 signals. If your cable box doesn't support it you have to **** around with it a lot (saw a way someone did it and it's ****ing hell)
