A big tip of the hat to Ian Morris at Talking Chop for a ridiculously detailed breakdown of J.R. Graham's past, present and future. Almost too much information, but it tells you everything you need to know about the guy who was the system's top pitcher two years ago.

Peraza is hitting 330 on the young season. Not a lot of power or walks but you have to love his contact ability. Can't wait till he fills out a bit more.

Pfft...that guy never stops hitting. Hope he gets a chance with us. We need to hang onto him as long as possible because one of Jason/Justin won't be here long term.

God I hope not. No offense but he's a terd in LF.

I thought he moved around well when he was up last year. I don't think we had a large enough sample to really gauge if he was competent or not.

I like Terd but more in a backup/utility role.

Ability to play 1B, even 3B in a pinch as well as the corner spots.

I'd draft an outfielder to eventually replace one of Justin or Jason.

Very good game for Graham. Would be nice to add him to the list of legit SP prospects.

They still haven't gotten him past 60 pitches in any start this season. So he's not exactly on the fast track.

Yeah, that's OK to me though. Bring him along slow, there's no rush. He was a very nice prospect.

I like Graham in the bullpen, maybe by next season, perhaps.

Or in September.

Personally, I'd let him try and season as a SP in the minors for another year or two. SPs are much more valuable (obviously).

Well...none of it has been positive. After his winter work, it was assumed he was going to grab a Bp spot in spring right?

Ah, the DOB. Was very enthusiastic about Nick Ahmed if I recall correctly.

Probably paid by FW to put over Nick Ahmed for the Upton trade.

I remember he went down one year to watch the AFL for a week, and based on that wrote an article that absolutely trashed Edward Salcedo while heaping praise on Nick Ahmed. DOB is very similar to some around here in his love for small sample sizes.

Between his ego and all the motorcycle fumes, I'm not sure there's much room in his head for any sample-sizes larger than that.
