BTW, someone on here compared Harang to Lowe his last year and I agree. Lowe had a great first month plus with Cleveland his last year starting and then totally fell apart. I wouldn't be surprised if that or similar happened with Harang (if we give him enough starts to do so). That's why I am against trading Floyd and find talk of moving Wood to the bullpen a really bad idea at this point.

Well, I think Heyward will eventually hit and CJ will get to about .280 or so. Who knows what BJ will do, but at least we have options to replace Uggla if he doesn't get it going.

BJ's the only guy in the lineup that I'm truly concerned will just be a black hole of nothingness.

Yup. We were vulnerable at the start of the year due to the pitching injuries. We should consider ourselves fortunate to have gotten what we did out of Harang and to a lesser extent Hale.

As for Teheran, Santana and Wood, I think they can all sustain something close to what they have given us so far. Maybe a little regression as a group but not much. The return of Minor and Floyd should give us a very solid group of starters. Hopefully they all stay healthy.

We still have 2 guys in the lineup who might now be .600 OPS hitters. That's hard to carry. The strong pitching and hot starts from Freeman, Upton and Gattis have masked that. But I'm not optimistic based on what I've seen from Uggla and BJ. A mid-May shakeup might be in order.

Well, for one thing, it's time to end BJ hitting second. It just is. Simmons has struck out three times, and he's hitting eighth. Uggla is sixth. We can not have two piles of crap hitting in the first six spots. Eventually, this offense should go on a tear, if we can get Jason, Justin, Freddie and Gattis all bashing at once.

That's what I've been telling y'all. If he'd started tonight this game wouldn't be over, IMO.

Harang reminds me of Lowe his year in Cleveland, Lowe started great that year but it was clearly smoke and mirrors. I see the same as the case for Harang but fear what is to come if he stays in the rotation much longer. However, I am very thankful for his great start to the season coming into tonight. I just expect a lot more games like tonight in his future than what we saw before hand.

Some silver linings:

1) All of our regulars are over finally the mendoza line in BA.

2) Heywood appears to be waking up out of his coma.

3) If BJ ends up being a singles exclusive hitter who walks a little bit, that's better than the BJ of last year. Still gives me hope he can find power again. Still should be moved to the bottom of the order, although I don't see that happening unless Pastor or LaStella are put at the top of the order behind or ahead of Heyward.

4) Harang getting blown up might blow any chances we had of trading him for middle reliever, but at least it means Hale might get another look in the rotation if Floyd doesn't pan out.

5) Uggla walked last night, but he's still pretty bad. If we keep losing like this and not scoring runs it only makes Wren and Fredi's decision to make a move like making Pastor starting 2B or calling up TLS even more likely.

6) Gattis is all or nothing. Either slugs or k's/weak popup with every now and then getting a line single.

7) After some terrible outings, August Schosser finally looks like he's becoming a major league pitcher. Could end up being a Moylan/Grybo roogy. Teach him the Gryboski sinker asap.
