Ryan Weber, the Braves' 17th round pick in the 2009 draft, has been placed on the Lynchburg suspended list, effctive July 12. No length or reason has been announced.

Weber has been a key member of the Lynchburg rotation in 2013, including an eigtht-inning shutout performance against Carolina on July 1. The right-hander's last appearance was also against Carolina July 8th, when he allowed four runs over seven innings. He'd been a mainstay in the rotation, owning a 5-4 record and 3.48 ERA when suspended.

Williams Perez moved up from Rome to take his spot in the rotation, and made a scoreless start on Monday.

The Braves' portion of the Futures Game Sunday requires only a brief mention.

Man, how many steals can Perraza get in a season. It looks like he is going to eclipse the 60 mark for sure. It would be fun to have a burner on the basepaths in teh future.

Cabrera with a really nice outing today.

Braves have some really good prospects right now. Most of them are really young but the farm is not barren. If Caratini can continue to produce when he goes to Rome/Lynchburg next year then its time to get excited about the farm again.

Imo our three best prospects are in Rome.

If wood is still considered a prospect then he is right there with the Rome trio.

I wasn't thinking of him, but yeah he would be at the top of my list. Technically, he hasn't used up his rookie eligibility yet. Two days shy of the 46 needed on the major league roster to do so. Likely to happen later this year.

2 more years on Uggla after this season. I wonder if the long term plan is Peraza at 2B. He's still a long ways away so a lot can change. Definitely possible he could be our #1 prospect by this time next year.
