You can't say the Braves isn't flowing. The second pitcher in as many days has been added to the active rosters in the farm system when former Kennesaw State pitcher Steve Janas made an impressive debut in Rome (four innings, one run, win) on Monday.

Janas, the sixth-round pick last June, is a prototype for the 21st century starter: righty, six-foot-six, recovered from Tommy John surgery in March of 2103 as a sophomore. He returned in 10 months(!) to go 9-0 for Kennesaw, but the Braves shut him down soon after signing, has he had only two abbreviated starts for Danville and began 2014 in extended spring training. He was returned to the Danville roster, however, after the game.

"Another power arm. We like the way his arm works," Tony DeMacio said when he was drafted. He's got a nice, loose easy delivery and we think he's going to throw a lot harder."

Mercifully, Salazar has been assigned to Danville.

One of the year's best wins was recorded tonight by Lynchburg. Down 4-0, a pair of two-run homers tied it and a Josh Elander RBI single after a pair of Frederick errors won it.

But the story was a brilliant relief job by one of the Braves' less-heralded arms, Zach Jadofsky. A 6-3 righty who was a free agent signee after the 2011 draft threw four HITLESS innings to earn the win following a rocky day for Lucas Sims.

Jadofsky was 6-3 with four saves for Rome last year with a middling 3.79 ERA but 70 Ks in 59 innings. Wednesday's win left him 3-1, 4.08 -- but he has allowed only one run over his last five appearances, 9.2 innings.

I was following the Rome game a bit and in the low minors where you can't follow on Gameday, if there's a long wait for an inning to post, you know something is happening. Rome had been up and down all day yesterday, but the 6-run 9th did them in. Like you posted yesterday rico, that pitching staff is really wanting. Big day from Camargo, but two of the hits were bunt singles.

Brandon Boggs, Kameron Loe ... can Stefan Gartrell be far behind?
