Indianapolis (43-30) picked up an unearned run in the bottom of the seventh and hung on for a 2-1 win over the Gwinnett Braves (35-37) on Wednesday afternoon. With the loss, the G-Braves finish the eight-game road trip at 2-6, but remain 6.5 games behind Durham for first place in the International League South Division.
Left-hander Alex Wood was superb once again for Gwinnett, allowing one earned run on five hits over 5.0 innings of work. He walked two and struck out three. Reyes (L, 0-1) went 2.0 innings with no hits and one unearned run. He walked one and struck out three.
