* 2014 draft pick

You don't think the Braves aren't invested in the international market? More countries represented on their GCL roster than in a Miss Universe contest. But as the draft picks get camp ABs and get ready, a number of these guys will be bumped back to DSL or cut. Davidson won't be ready for another week or so.

Invested yes, diversified mostly though. We don't sign the high end guys preferring to play the numbers.

Where does Perazas success rate on the bases go as he settles into AA. I think that as much as anything is key to him becoming a valuable player for us.

He's batting leadoff. Anything other than a conditional green light would seem to be a waste of his talent. He's stolen two in two games so far.

There are a group of young bats at the lower levels of the minors right now that I really want to see progress this year. Connor Lien, Bryan De La Rosa, Justin Black, Fernelys Sanchez, Tanner Murphy, Ian Hagenmiller, and Dylan Manwaring. At their age, they still have something to prove. I think it is too early to just throw your hands up and give up on these guys, but things have not looked promising for them to this point.

Murphy and Sanchez have both had good games in the early going for GCB, and Black delivered a pinch hit in a clutch situation. De La Rosa, in particular, has some competition; besides Murphy, the DSL catcher, Castro, has been a key performer over their first two weeks.

Black went 1 for 2 with a triple, an RBI, and 2 BB tonight.
