MOVES: Seth Loman, placed on DL. Leads Miss. in RBIs (53); out since July 7. Still haven't seen Pastornicky's DL move on official transactions.
Signed No. 13 draft pick, RHP Caleb Beech. By my count, that's 28 signed.
FA signees growing by the day: RHP Alan Rangel, LHP Gabino Avilos signed from Veracruz in Mexican League. RHP Dustin Emmons, who has a 97 MPH fastball signed as undrafted FA from Weatherford JC. He had signed with Edenton Steamers (1-0, 2 saves in 14 games, 27 Ks in 15 innings).
Shockingly, Kameron Loe signed by Arizona after being cut by Braves.
Caleb Dirks sent from Danville to Rome.

Gonna be fun watching Albies and Dyskstra move up the system together.

I know I'm a bit late to the party but this Albies kid looks interesting. Still super young and walks a lot while having good speed.

Any reports on his defense? Could he finish the year in Danville?

Albies is very small physically. Listed at 150 for this season, but was listed at 135 when he signed a year ago. Extremely fast. My guess is he'll stay in the GCL and maybe move up for the last week of the Appy League season if he's needed. Obregon is playing fairly well right now in Danville and McElroy will also get ABs and innings at shortstop, so I don't know why they'd advance Albies unless they plan on having him in Rome next season (which isn't likely given he's probably got some physical growing to do).
