And for those of you Rick Sutcliffe fans, the Taco Bell celebrity softball game.

Already a Fredi sighting, he video bombed Todd Frazier by appearing in the background. All Star game means All-Star managers.

Huge fail for MLB tonight I hate to say it. Berman and ESPN were a disaster. Berman is just old and boring as crap. No offense to the guy but he's the scout.com of baseball. He thinks the grandma's love him, but honestly even the grandmas are getting sick of that ****.

The rain delay, bad luck but it kind of fit the night.... the new format failed. Just a complete disaster. Shame on Trout and others for not being in the derby. I feel like the stars from MLB are taking a que from the stars of the NBA. Don't be in the dunk contest unless you have mental toughness essentially. Frazier did a good job... bleh...

Can't say I disagree with this post. Pretty much spot on. Cespedes was the only thing really worth watching tonight. Berman's act is getting old and Kruk sounded bored. Also, ESPN missed some swings tonight and kept Berman and Kruk's mics on during the Stand Up To Cancer moment. The format was dumb too.

Like I said earlier, maybe MLB Network should get a shot at broadcasting the Home Run Derby. They could not possibly be worse than ESPN was tonight.

I can say with honesty that the last time I remember actually trying to watch the derby was the year Abreu went nuts at Comerica.

Bergman and Kruk didn't bother me at all. They didn't try too hard to be entertaining, but just kept the chat low key like a couple of fans in the bleachers. If Kruk was bored it's because he should be; the event is boring. I'd almost rather watch good fielders do catch and throw drills. Maybe they could at least change up the program every year or so.

Coverage was awful last night. Berman never. stops. talking. He's constantly rambling on about some old, boring story he was a part of. The camera work was terrible and Berman wasn't even narrating the game, just blathering unless someone hit one. I'll make a point not to watch next year. First round took well over an hour.
