Heyward and Gattis sit? Heyward vs a lefty makes some sense, Gattis I don't get. Might be so he can play tomorrow.

But we need all the offense we can get and Gattis finally looked good last night.

Minor vs Stultz. Loser claims the title of "worst rotation starter in baseball".

I understand sitting Heyward vs a lefty, but Fredi drives me crazy sitting him vs those he hits while rarely doing so vs those he doesn't hit. Heyward is hitting .286 vs Stults...

Also, why is Doumit playing in RF instead of putting him in the easier position in LF and moving Justin over to RF?

Agreed, Doumit has been better in left and Justin is best in right too.

Because Fredi is not a smart man.

You know, at this point, I say we just let Minor swing away. He's better at that than bunting.

Just like Glavine and Maddux, always taking care of the small things that help you win...not.

Might be a better hitter then pitcher at the moment,,,

For the record, I still believe in Minor, he is just struggling mightily right now.

Lairds average double distance can't be more than like 140 feet.

stpeteirish

wonder if Doumit, CJ and BJ have ever all gotten hits in the same inning before. Not to mention Laird.

Stop it, he's been arguably our best hitter this year including Freddie.

Go complain about Heyward not having his jersey dirty.

Minor had an encouraging AAA rehab start tonight, 6 plus and 3 runs allowed. 2 home runs though. Might need to make another start or two down there to get a bit sharper.

Can't see the game since I'm in Cooperstown doing the "bucket list" thing. How many showed up for the HoF coverage before the game started? It was gratifying to see so many Braves fans from all over the country here in upstate NY.

BJ now .252/.312/.356 in the leadoff spot. Not good but a huge improvement over what he was doing. .342 OBP in the last 2 weeks as well.
