Matt Tellor, the Braves' 10th round draft pick, is one of the very few true potential power sources currently developing. But he looks to be a good one: he was just named Appy Hitter of the WeeK:

Matt Tellor, Danville
(.375/.429/.875, 7 G, 9-for-24, 4 HR, 12 RBI, 4 R, 3 BB, 9 K)
http://www.milb.com/images/657440/t429/90x135/657440.jpgWe've seen it with A.J. Reed, the 2014 Golden Spikes Award winner who has carried his momentum from a great college campaign into a solid start in the pros, and the same situation fits Tellor. The switch-hitting first baseman won the 2014 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year after hitting 15 homers and putting up a 1.102 OPS at Southeast Missouri State and is off to a hot start in the Appy League. The 10th-rounder clubbed his first four pro homers last week, including a pair Sunday, and is batting .358 with an even 1.000 OPS in his first 15 games in the Braves organization.

Nice outing from HUrsh. Any news on his secondary pitch development?

I have a favor to ask Rico.

Is it possible to always include what our top prospects do in the summary? For instance, I'd love to know what Peraza does every game. Same with folks like Davidson.

if not, no big deal, but I mainly read these threads to see how our top guys are doing (Peraza, Bethancourt, Simms, Davidson, Dykstra, etc.)

Decent idea. I will put the top 4-5 guys in BOLD, but that's also why I provide the link to all of the boxes.

I just don't believe Cunningham couldn't out-perform BJ right now. I just don't believe it.

I never understood Schafer over Cunningham.

Good results for Hursch but 105 pitches to get 16 outs shows he still needs improvement. Performing well at AA so soon is a good, but I think he is going to need a full season at AAA.
