Figured this board needed some positivity, and I'm about 10 deep. I don't care what your feelings are on the Braves right now. Let's get some positivity going in here. I'm talking memes, encouragement, or just plain wit. Let's do it.

Braves, when Dan Uggla starts: 21-12
Braves, when Dan Uggla is on the bench: 32-31
Braves, without Dan Uggla on the roster: 8-17

I could see us going 0-162 next year if we drop BJ.

The Brewers went through a similar run earlier this year to what the Braves are doing now. If they could get back on track why can't we?

Braves have 38 games left:

They are currently 24.6% to make the playoffs
They are projected to go 19-19 over the last 38 games, which would leave them at 6.2% to make the playoffs
If they go 29-9 they are guaranteed a playoff spot
If they go 13-25 they are eliminated

Best staff ever assembled?

Steve Avery as a 4th starter when he was in his prime and Merker as a 5th... That was a staff and a half. I always hated that Avery's injuries knocked him out early. He was sick before he started having shoulder problems. Shoulder problems seem worse than elbow problems... Rarely see pitcher come back to dominance after severe shoulder issues. Tommy Hanson is another one.

They should sign Chipper to a 1 month deal in September so he can at least be on the bench in uniform. Maybe give him some pinch hit at bats. Can't possibly be worse than what we have now.

Still only 1.5 back and the team ahead of us has lost 6 in a row and 8 of 10. You never know, get in and get a few lucky breaks and we are in the nlcs. The baseball gods owe us one... or a few hundred.

Braves78

As much as I would love to see us make it to the NLCS I hope we do not sniff the playoffs. I hope after today's game the rest of the team gives up on FG. If we dont make the playoffs at least there is a chance FG will be fired at the end of the year if we make the playoffs he probably stays. I'm sorry but for the better of the team long term I hope we lose this year so we lose FG next year.

We have to feel great about Milwaukee's slump. We can overtake them.

If you think a new manager is going to come in and manage how you want you have not been paying attention.

It's not about how I want the team to be managed because I know we as fans will always question a manger, coach, etc.

However, I just want a manager that makes rational decisions. Putting BJ in the lead off spot is not rational. Sitting Gattis yesterday, pinch hitting your best hitter, not allowing CK to pitch against the Dodgers in the the most important inning of the year last year are only a few of the irrational decisions that this clown has made. If it was every once in awhile let's say 2 or 3 times a week that FG left me scratching my head then I would say that is just a part of being a fan because you will always question descions made my a manger. Yet when it's happening multiple times in a game week after week after week at some point you come to realize that it's not just me being an irrational fan instead it's an irrational manager.

Gotta stay ahead of Pittsburgh too, though. Gave them life pissing that last game there away. We're not overtaking anyone if we keep going through stretches of 1 run in three games. That will not cut it.
