That are in NL playoff contention rank them on order you would want to play them in a playoff series. Pirates, Brewers, Cardinals, Nationals, Dodgers, and Giants. The higher number means you have more confidence in the Braves.

#6 Pirates
#5 Brewers
#4 Nationals
#3 Giants
#2 Cardinals
#1 Dodgers

Since you and VA think we aren't going to make the playoffs and are a terrible team why did you even make this thread?

I want no part of the Dodgers. I think all the other teams are very beatable.

Don't mind seeing anyone but LA. Do not want to see them.

Nats have the deepest team and best pitching staff overall, but would rather match up with them vs. Kershaw/Greinke/Ryu, but the Dodgers pen can be had. Neither the Giants, Brewers, or Pirates really scare me much.

I just don't want to deal with the Cardinals because well they get lucky.

Huh?

ERA-3.06 ERA (1st in NL)
FIP- 3.15 (1st in NL)
xFIP- 3.45 (1st in NL)

WAR (for Zito)- 17.5 (1st in NL; 2nd place is 14.4)

Nats always seem to get us going on rolls but the other two are just worse teams. giants should finally be healthy and we don't play well out west, cardinals will get lucky. No need to discuss the dodgers

They are changing my mind a little by the day. For any chance at the division we have to win 5 of the 6 head to head. To be comfortably in the playoffs I don't think we can lose another series this year. Can't afford any more losing streaks either.

Doubtful to win the division, the two big losing streaks killed that.

We can lose another series but not many more.

We wont overtake Stl.

Really fighting with SF, Pit, and the Fish for the last WC spot.

It would take a losing streak for the Nats for the Braves to have a shot at the division.

Some kind of switch flipped in the middle of that LA series. Not sure what it was but it flipped.

Going by run differential would show:

Nats +101
LA +52
Brewers +49
SF +28
Atl +15
St Lou -6
Pit -6

Still think Dodgers 1, Nats 2, cards 3 thi

Yep, the division is essentially lost tonight, barring a 2011 Braves-esque collapse by the Nats in September.

To re-examine the list, the Braves should probably be No. 1. We're our own worst enemy. Always finding dumb, ****ty ways to lose. There haven't been too many where we've gotten our ass kicked in for nine innings. We've just flat out choked away a dozen or more games.
