Man I miss that song so much. Brings back so many memories.

Here's the full long version of the opening song. I miss at the beginning of games Skip saying "Hello and welcome to another night of Atlanta Braves baseball." I miss at the end of games Skip saying "so long" and then this song playing in the background as still pictures from the game were shown.

I wish I could find the song they used for the last few years when the Braves were on TBS.

I was always a little puzzled by that? Why a welder?

Or a better question: Why not always a welder? Why not everywhere?

There is, everywhere, stuff that needs to be welded.

In fact, I hear we've added one the training staff recently to take care of Chris Johnson's glove.

The intro was used in 1997. That welder represented building of the Ted.

I knew it was 1997 because the last year listed was 1996. But good call.

It still pisses me off that those jackasses running TBS now choose the MLB playoffs over the Braves.

My man Joe. He and Don never wore the tomahawk as player, but Braves in my book. This game is bittersweet memories for me Remember watching bits and pieces of it from the ICU waiting room of the local hospital. My grandfather was battling cancer at the time, we lost him in December '97. He was a huge Braves fan.

This is pretty cool. I saw this a while back. It's a meaningless Braves game from September of 1985 against the Reds. It's a 6 minute video with highlights from the game.

Cool stuff! I remember the soft reprise of the Braves on TBS theme that played during rain delay updates, between episodes of World's Most Dangerous Car Chases and The Andy Griffith Show.

I think everyone can agree that the TBS days were the Golden Age. Braves baseball will never be like that in those days, especially for those of us who aren't from Atlanta.

Interesting that the original thought was that Turner Field was going to be a hitters park and not a pitchers park. Hasn't quite turned out that way.

I remember Chipper saying something about bulldozing it down after the first season because he didn't hit a lot of HRs.

Nope. Don't remember it. Did some reading a while back and realized it was a huge disaster which led to FOX getting the TV rights to the playoffs in 1996.
