The last day when temps is above freezing we went for a walk. We live in a neighborhood of middle class families, 1500 to 3000 ft houses and income of 100 to 150k and 2 or more acre yards, so we normally see one of our neighbors who walk have kids and what not, but when we went by their house, lot of notices, yard was in shambles, toys and other things in the yard...an eye sore. I talk to my next door neighbor and he said, this happen ONCE before and the county came in and tore the house down after several months.

It would suck to be the neighbor on both sides and across the street as their houses look better than mine and I think I have the 2nd biggest in the neighborhood at 2300 sq ft ( actually expanding it for the better, with two kids and the way they play and the toys they accumulated, a '1400 would not suffice).

This is a subdivision, 8 miles south of city nothing else near, minimum acreage is 2, some like mine is closer to 3, one way in unless you want to go private property and that is dangerous if you are a teenager if you want to drink beer and not get caught, the owner of the tree farm has camera's everywhere. We saw the po po come in OFTEN and we knew where they was going.

I am black and the myth of black people moving in driving down property value is a myth. Keep your yard neat, don't have hoodrats or bathtubs or laundry lines and what not, you won't have an issue.

We had a black family move into our neighborhood and it was the worst. They had Watermelons growing in their back yard. Old used buckets of fried chicken everywhere. Basketballs that they never put up after using them. Rap music constantly blaring from their house and their cars. We had to ask the cops to survey the neighborhood for us twice a day.

A joke so dark the cops shot it

If I didn't know that you live somewhere godawful cold, I'd say that was probably my house.

This is one of the advantages of homeowners associations, though I really don't like them.

R U serious?

I am going to donate all my toys to local charity, my kids don't play with them and the basement is now a professional studio for my wife's photography business.

so I have a ton of toys in my other room in the basement and a lot in the garage. I can barely get the other car in there. I was tired of getting into a car when it 10 below zero or have 3 inches of snow to sweep off.

Just found out the house is in for foreclosure. I hate to see inside it but the structionally it is not bad and the yard is huge. A farmer last summer could have a made some on the hay he could have gotten as they NEVER mowed the yard.

Nah **** home owner associations. If I own a house I want to do whatever the damned I want to do with it. They'll have to deal with my insane homebrew rigs, not have it shut out by the HOA. I get why some like it, but I think oddballs add character to a town.

Is your homebrew in your front yard? If not, I'm not sure what you would be worried about.

One of my friends lived in a HOA that had a code monkey that would code violate him for anything he did wrong. I'm sure a HOA could make something against having a homebrew rig in th eback yard as people who're truly dumb probably wouldn't know the difference between that and a meth lab.
