Hate to say it, but Lucas Sims needs to get it going pretty quickly if he doesn't want to hear his name mentioned in potential trade scenarios. Was just looking at my own personal Organizational Depth Chart (includes currently active and injured MLB rotation guys), and I've got him parked at #11 because I'm being stubborn. Jenkins, Sanchez, and Hursh are hot on his heels, and Fulenchek, Grosser, Winkler, and Povse lag behind mainly because we haven't seen enough of them yet - but that may not take long if Lucas doesn't start showing better signs soon.

I would personally put Jenkins ahead of Sims at this point, though I think Hursh is destined for the pen.

Its early...Sims still has front line (#2) potential. He is a baby and will get plenty of time to develop.

Kyle Davies is still knocking around? Good for him...I guess?

Mallex locked in...

Against a stud pitcher in Berrios as well.

Mallex locked in...

Yep, 3 more hits today. His perfect day just ended though with a groundout to third. He's doing great so far this season.

A lot of the questions about the outfield are cleared up if Smith can be a competent big leaguer next year.

That's kinda my point though...

1. Teheran
2. Wood
3. Miller
4. Minor
5. Cahill
6. Stults
7. Wang (left off since he can opt out soon)
8. Wisler
9. Folty
10. Fried
11. Banuelos
12. Sims
13. Jenkins
14. Sanchez
15. Hursh

At this point the only one of those guys who might be kept as a reliever is Hursh - considering we have as much control over all of them as we do Sims, he's facing a pretty big hill if he wants to climb over the others in the pecking order. I'm just saying that if they were currently going to add a high upside arm to a package to try to get other pieces, as of now he's probably #1 on that list. Jenkins and Sanchez have similar ceilings, and the others ahead of him have ceilings at least as high if not higher.

MLBTR: Braves left-hander Brady Feigl underwent Tommy John surgery yesterday, the pitcher himself tweeted. The 24-year-old Feigl almost made the team out of Spring Training following an excellent showing in which he yielded one run on seven hits and no walks with seven strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings.

Tough loss, Feigl was really coming on strong and close to joining our bullpen. Hopefully he'll recovery fine and be back on track next year.

Where is Dykstra? I know he should be in the lower minors?

Gotta wonder when we're going to start seeing Cabrera in the later innings now that he's apparently only going to be used exclusively out of the pen. Can see him being fast-tracked if that remains the case.

Jail, I think.

Oh, you mean the son. The one without the douchey name.

Pretty upset we didn't bring him into camp and deal him for a top 50 prospect when he turned it around.

Perez just called out on strikes on a ball no where near with a 3-2 count, Peraza also called out on strikes on a closer pitch but probably just off the plate. Good to watch a blind ump screw up a game...

Perez was so shocked by being called out on strikes that he stood there and then walked around the batters box not wanting to leave.

I wonder how long Mallex will have to hit like this to get some status recognition and prospect ranking love. The kid is still not quite 22 and has had made the Jump from A ball to AA without batting an eye. His power seems to be developing, not to where he becomes a power hitter but maybe 5-7 HRs with 20-30 doubles and 5 or so triples a year, with stupid speed and good walk numbers. Wouldn't be surprised if he moves to AAA in a couple months.

I am not saying he will move to AAA anytime soon, but any development from our lower minor guys is going to squeeze out some of our fringy guys at AAA. There already seems to be a logjam ? I guess we will need to decide to **** or get off the pot on a few of them.

Toscano still not playing?
