Nobody said he was going to be a star. But maybe how bout giving him more than 6 games to see if he can become a decent little player for us. I don't think I've ever seen a player go from consensus starting 2b to bench guy in so little time. And the guys who are replacing him are bench guys. It's not like we've got another guy with some potential as a potential replacement. Yes, if you put Peraza in there then that would be different. But don't give me a 4A guy who can't field and the guy Mark Bowman thinks is fat as such quick replacements.

Johnson has hit a big time snag in the past week. I had no problem with Fredi bringing him out for the 8th, but it just speaks to the poor quality of our pen right now. We don't have the quality depth to hide a guy like Johnson when he's not right.

This is just another classic example of Fredi not putting a player in the best position to succeed.

I think AJ and Gomes should visit FF with a pillow case full of soap when he is asleep. After 10 minutes he should be good. Striking out with men on base on flat fastballs is not acceptable. Maybe he had a hard-on for Toronto pitching only.

That's a very fair point. The move didn't bother me as much as the time, but it was probably not the best choice. For me though, that decision wouldn't make the top 5 list of reasons we lost the game.
