View Full Version : What Did Fredi Mean When He Said "I Succumbed"

He's been widely quoted as saying that when talking to reporters the day he first batted Heyward leadoff.

Did he succumb to:

1) Logic and common sense

2) Suggestions from Wren or others within the organization

3) The press

4) Fans on twitter and discussion boards

5) Exhaustion of all other alternatives

6) It was a hot day and he succumbed to heat prostration and made a mistake writing down the lineup

7) His wife told him he better bat Heyward first or else

While I'm asking here's another question.

Should Fredi get credit for finally doing this. Did he move sooner than most managers would? Or was he late to try something that was pretty logical?

For our sake hopefully he is learning on the job because the Braves need him to be better. A manager can't win you anything but they can certainly losey ou some games.

Tron has an 800 OPS batting 8th. LEAVE HIM THERE!

I'm going with choice 8. It is really Fredi who has kidney stones and Laird is secretly managing the team in his place. So when Fredi comes back next week, we will see Simmons leading off and BJ batting cleanup.

With this, the Wood jokes, and staring at Gattis' ass, it's clear that Fredi is a frequenter of this board.

Maybe he's Patio's spy?

I think it is pretty clear. thethe Gonzalez. I am just glad he was with the Marlins when the Braves called Francoeur up.
