That's a lot of RH hitters in the Brewers lineup tonight. Doesn't bode well for Stultsy.

We still have a chance tonight. We'll be behind in the early going for sure but their bullpen really sucks.

Should be a pretty good defensive team, right? 3B is not good. RF and 1B are good in everything but range, where they are terrible. But up the middle and LF should be good to very good. Maybe we can make some plays.

Oh well, probably not going to win tonight with Stults going. But you never know since the Brewers are pretty bad.

If we still had Cody Martin I would say let Stults pitch until his first at bat, then bring in Martin since they stacked right handed hitters.

Yea, but they can't catch walks or two run homers. Stults problems with the homerun ball continues.

Anybody else sure that hitting Freeman was intentional?

Anybody else sure that hitting Freeman was intentional?

I'd certainly hit one of them back after they hit our best hitter because after last night it sure seems like they were targeting our best hitter. Thankfully Freeman moved well enough that it just caught his jersey.

I'd hit Braun his next AB as payback. I don't like Braun anyway.

Well, if he was going to put Gomez on base again anyway he could've just hit him.

Nice throw by Freeman and good tag by Peterson as he came off the bag.

I rather see Simmons do to him what you see him doing in my avatar to a Nats player. A good kick in the head could knock some sense into him. :)

I didn't see it. Chip and Joe said they didn't think there was any intent, but if our dugout thought there was, I hope Braun eats one sometime in this series.

Or Gomez.

Joe sounded like he wasn't sure at first, but either way I found the timing and player hit makes me think it might have been intentional after last night. We can never know for sure but if it were me I'd hit one of Braun or Gomez and call it even.

Man, my boy Mallex Smith is on fire for Mississippi. He is 2-3 again tonight with a double, already two runs scored and a RBI tonight. Plus he stole third base after his double before scoring. :)

Jenkins has pitched great through five innings, I won't say what he has going but y'all might want to check it out if you have MILB.tv

PS: Jenkins just lost his no hitter in the 6th.

The Cahill pick-up and Stults over Wandy have both been shown as the wrong choices. I thought dropping Wandy was stupid personally and how they did it annoyed me (telling him he'd made the team and then releasing him).

Double the fun, we get to watch both Stults and Cahill in the same game. I think I'll focus on Mississippi where I can watch Jenkins pitch and Mallex Smith play instead. :)

Mallex Smith is now 3-4 in the game to raise his average to .348 and Jenkins has a shutout and 7 K's through 7 innings.

This was a spot start from a guy who hasn't pitched in a while. Can't really chalk it up to ST personnel decisions. Hopefully Perez will assert himself and we'll have him and Cody at the back of the rotation.

Cody or Perez.

Jenkins pitched great tonight for Mississippi, he was charged with two runs but it was 3-0 when he was pulled in the 8th. He had a cheap infield hit the last hit against him too, he pitched better than his line score of 7 innings 2 ER and 7K's. Mississippi won 3-2 so he got the win.

I can't help but think that maybe the Braves front office gave Fredi the choice on who to pick as his 5th starter this offseason. Not hard to imagine Hart and company giving Fredi the decision on who he wanted as his 5th starter, mainly as a test in regards to his roster decision making. I personally could give two ****s who the Braves chose as their 5th starter. Both were pure fill ins. The Cahill money on the other hand... that was a front office move and that was money that should have been spent elsewhere. A logical move, but one that did not work out.

If that was the case it looks even worse for Fredi because Fredi is the one who said publicly Wandy would make the team. In other words, Fredi would have did that and also flip-flopped his position. Maybe he did, I just got the feeling there was more involved.

Nice read. It makes me respect Adam Wainright a lot. How great of him to keep tabs with a minor league pitcher that he has no responsibility mentoring.

Well I didn't get so excited over yesterday's win because we were lucky to score as many runs as we did.

We aren't as good yet as most of you think we are. This offense is jekyll and Hyde just like our last few offenses were. At least those had a puncher's chance. If we don't BABIP another team to death we aren't going to score as much runs.

We also have no reliable 5th starter and Folty is still a project in the works as far as I can see. I'm not as confident in him yet as I am with wood or Miller. Teheran still has to prove he's back before I can comfortably expect us to win his games.

Most people still think we'll be around the 72-78 win range but the team is still better than many people thought we would be.

Of course Folty is still a project, and who ever said he's on Miller's level, Wood hasnt been that great this year. I would say something else but i'll end it there.

I dont see what point you're trying to prove here.

Is this a serious post? I can never tell with you.

Folty on Miller or Woods level? And you are surprised by that? I don't think anyone else is shocked by a rookie with promise scuffling a little. He has looked great at times, and not been able to escape trouble.

I also don't think we are as Jekyll and Hyde as last year either...

Mainly due to the offense performing over it's head for the most part and hitting better than expected with RISP. Things I don't necessarily expect to continue all season.
