Most studs struggle year 1. Smoltz wasn't great from the jump.

If u want folty to be a stud in 17 you need to pitch him in 15. Same thing with wisler and man ban. Got to get those guys up at roster expansion at the worst.

Even if this is a self proclaimed rebuild year, the team is 2.5 back in the middle of June. The Nationals haven't gotten going like the pundits said and the Marlins haven't performed either. Hart doesn't need to stray of his path in order to do this either. Signing some journeymen from other clubs is not the answer either.

Depends who you ask. If you ask guys who don't beleive in stats and only 'watch' the games I would say those players can be over valued. They see good throws and players not making mistakes so they must be good. They don't take into effect range because that can be hard to 'see' when nothing really comparing it to. I'd bet if we hadn't been spoiled by Heywards range that most people who watch the Braves wouldn't notice Nick's lack of it.

In the end advanced stats usually get it right. That said Nick has showed more range this season then he has in quite some time.
