This is a pretty clear issue I have with Fredi.

You don't let the players--the young ones, particularly--make that call. Does Greg Maddux and his 4 Cy Youngs want to make the call? Different story.

You pull them. They're pissed. You WANT them to be pissed. You want them to want to stay in there.

You pull them and take the heat, then sit them down and say, "son, I respect your will to win and I love your heart. I pulled you because finishing an inning in June isn't worth risking what you are going to mean to this team in the future." Except you're Fredi, so you probably say it in a more convoluted way.
