Yepez is getting real interesting real fast.

Yep. His OPS is creeping toward .900. I'd like to see him and Acuna in Danville soon.

Rome is going to be real fun to watch next year...Yepez, Riley, Acuna, Herbert, Ellison, Keller, Salazar in the lineup, and Allard, Soroka, Mejia, possibly Guardado and Rangel in the rotation. A few of those guys may start in Danville, but there will be a bunch of guys who will be one good year away from being real prospects.

Hard to knock a 17 year old doing what he is doing but I wouldn't mind him to strike out a bit less.

But in reality this kid and Acuna look like they could be real fast risers with a good year next year.

2 ER in 4 IP is no great shakes, but it's nice to see Meija with 6 K and only 4 base runners allowed.

Strikeout to walk ratio is better than 4 to 1. Just turned 18. Definitely one to keep an eye on. It will be a lot of fun to follow this group currently in the GCL.

This Riley kid has some serious power it seems.

Gulf Coast Braves on a bit of a roll after a miserable start to the season. Good to see some bats down there.

Only one guy in the league has more HR, and that guy is 22.

Acuna might be the most interesting player in the group given the combination of speed, power, playing a premium position and having impressive strikeout and walk rates.

Yup. I've been thinking the same thing.

But, but, but...he was such a "reach".

A perfect nine up and nine down for Jenkins so far at Gwinnett tonight.

Got a feeling Connor Lein will be a solid major leaguer in a few years.

Connor Lein looks sharp but he has a couple of problems that worry me. He strikes out too much and does almost all of his damage exclusively against LHP.

Well he's hitting over .280 against RHP with 15-16 EBH.

.377 Slugging against RHP. Also, there's no way he could keep a .280 batting average at higher level play while striking out so much. He won't be able to sustain the BABIP to do it. I'm not saying that he's not going to be a Major League player. However, he has a lot of things to work on.

Fair enough. He's also improved significantly at nearly every minor league stop.

Isranel Wilson hit his 3rd home run of the season. That kid doesn't make much contact, but when he does, he puts a charge into the ball. He has 9 hits on the year. Three of them are home runs. He has hit another 2 doubles and 1 triple, so 6 of his 9 hits are for extra bases. 27 strike outs in 59 at bats is UGLY!!! This kid obviously has talent, so hopefully he will make adjustments to cut down on those strike outs.

I wonder why mlb.com's player page for Austin Riley has no stats at all?

Juan Yepez's slash line as a 17 year old in the GCL: .308/.411/.474, where he has 24 hits in total with 10 extra base hits.

Leudys Baez went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI today.

Keep in mind that Lien only turned 21 in March.

Don't know, but you can find his numbers through the team site. Riley is slashing .230/.324/.425. 4 HR, 5 2B in 87 AB. 12 BB/33 K. Way too many Ks, but he's walking and showing plenty of power.
