Garcia makes me eat my words.

Garcia will look great some AB's and terrible others, I noted that watching him in AAA. Plus he was great mostly the first two months in AAA and after we called him up and sent him back he stopped hitting for most part. I kinda wondered if it messed him up that he was close to his dream of being a MLB player and saw only two PH AB's and got sent back. I mean maybe that effected him and led to his terrible two months. I assume the Braves brass thought so given they're giving him a shot now. Then again it could just be they don't care about wins and he was a third base option on the 40-man so now he's here. Hopefully it's more of both than the latter.

If you're not going to bother with reading any of our minor league stuff, don't waste our time asking questions like this.

He was a longtime Yankees farmhand who tore up the IL the first half of the season, was called up for one at-bat last month and returned to Gwinnett. As to why he was called up instead of Peraza, you got me there.

I'd bet RH Christopher Dalton the Once and Future Lord BABip Johnson.

Braves1976
07-26-2015, 03:44 PM
Who the hell is Adonis Garcia?

He's a 30 year old 3B/OF from Cuba that the Yankees signed years back, but he never got a shot with them after hitting .319 in AAA last year. I think mainly due to getting a bad rep concerning defense because it wasn't his bat. Braves picked him up as a minor league free agent and he'd been mostly playing third and some OF in AAA before we brought him up.

The Cardinals got their BS run on a missed third strike call last night and half their runs today have come on an overturned call at home plate that required over five minutes to discover some form of "clear and convincing" evidence. Yeah, I realize part of my attitude is jealousy of the Cardinals success but everything about this franchise, fans, and announcers is really getting on my nerves right now.

Heyward trolls Markakis by making look easy a catch Markakis would struggle to make.

Heyward goes after that like "La La La this is easy" while Markakis goes after the same huffing and puffing and preparing to dive. :)

Speaking of Markakis, he use to have a good arm but this year he doesn't even have that. The game we lost last night is a prime example, the old Markakis throws a bullet to the plate nailing that runner. This year he his arm rating is down a lot and is no longer rated well but actually below average.

At least the Mets have gotten a couple of wins they wouldn't otherwise have. The flip side is what if the guys we got in return never make it above AA? It's hard to be optimistic about the 15th and 18th (or whatever they are) ranked prospects in the Mets organization.

I know it's been discussed ad nauseam and that we only had KJ and Uribe for a couple more months. I'd at least have liked to have gotten a prospect about whom I could be more optimistic.

I wonder what kind of trade value Wisler would have in the offseason if he were to finish out the season with a 3.50 ERA. A mid rotation starter with 6 years of control has to bring back a good young bat right?

Don't even. He's one of the cornerstones the team should be built around.
