It is. I think he could fit there at the top perfectly again at some point, but I like moving him out of it and into a position with a bit less stress.

He may have more RBI opportunities coming his way as well, which helps him since he hits so well with RISP.

Seriously, I am happy that Garcia is finally getting a shot. He deserved one before hand and got it probably when he least expected it. He can hit, question has been more defense for him in the past. But he has worked hard to improve his defense so it's about time he got a shot. Good for him that he has made an impact so far.

Last year he slashed .319/.353/.474 for the Yankees AAA team

This year he slashed .284/.314/.367 for Gwinnett

Part of the difference was a BABIP of .348 in 2014 versus .314 this year. Walk rate hasn't change much. Strikeout rate down a bit this year. ISO down this year.
