gf consistently brought up the point of cluster luck earlier in the year and many refused to acknowledge it... I had never thought much about it, but makes total sense.

7 hits in one inning is way better than 7 hits spread out over 9 innings.

We were getting tons of cluster luck earlier in the year and that simply was not going to continue. You have to be able to drive the ball and we simply can't.

I wonder what the record is for most hits in a game without one being an XBH?

And yes the cluster luck was going to come down. Law of averages and all that. At the high point Braves were like #2 in MLB with RISP. Now the team is 8th and dropping.

I've gotten on Freeman before, but he signed a long-term deal when he was part of the youngest team in baseball coming off 96 wins and a division title. A long-term commitment to a team whose ownership will not invest adequately to help this team win a championship and whose front office completely gutted it and waved the flag for two years right in the heart of that contract as he's beginning to enter his prime.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't care about tonight's game either.

Not really. It's embarrassing actually. I just assumed that with the way the roster was constructed in the offseason that the Braves were going to have a very hard time scoring runs. And after a good start I was told repeatedly how wrong I was and that just making contact was all the team needed. Well the Braves strike out less than anybody else and have a huge issue scoring runs.

I was watching recently where he thought it was ball 4 and started going to 1st, the ump called a strike, and harper stopped, then kept going to first to prove a point. About halfway down the line he turned back around to the box
