Mallex Smith with two more hits tonight. Hunter has been hot too after a slow start this season, has a double and a walk. He's now hitting .280 on the year, if he stays hot I'd like to see him rewarded with a Sept. call-up.

let's go back to comparing 2012 eury perez with this year's mallex smith...but i'm afraid we're running out of numbers to cherry pick to support perez's season being similar. i'm sure we can find something, like using BA when it's otherwise unacceptable.

Brad Roney continues to put up good results in Carolina. Anyone else think he could be an option by late next year for the bullpen?

His walk numbers are really scary, but if his control improves, my guess is he'll be in the mix at some point in the next few years. Carlos Salazar seems to have the same problem. Big arm but has trouble with location.
