Bob Nightengale. @BNightengale
Frank Wren is the leading contender to be GM under Dave Dombrowski with the #RedSox now that Ben Cherington is leaving.
This is interesting . . .
And now, two weeks later, Dombrowski has landed a new position, taking the title of President of Baseball Operations with the Red Sox. As part of the transition, GM Ben Cherington will be leaving the organization, and Bob Nightengale reports that former Braves GM Frank Wren is the most likely candidate to replace Cherington. Wren was ousted in Atlanta in part because the team had fallen behind the curve analytically, so a Dombrowski/Wren combination would make for one of the more old-school front office tandems in baseball today.

Time to trade Julio Teheran to the Red Sox for Moncada. :elefant:
Dang! We have already unloaded all the bad contracts he signed players to. We may could have gotten Mookie Betts in a deal.
Ironic, as the incoming Tigers GM (Avila) was quoted as saying he felt analytics were the key component missing from the Detroit Front Office

That's one team we can forget about trading with in the future (if he gets the job).

I'd love to see a trade go down between Hart and Wren.
