Hopefully it's another rout

With Wisler's inability to get LHB out it probably will get ugly pretty quick.

Didn't we see this same movie last night?

It was a dumb move to pitch around McCann. Sure McCann is a good hitter, but at worst it would be 2-0. Getting a young pitcher to pitch around a guy is a recipe for trouble IMO. If you wanna not pitch to a guy, intentionally walk him

good start

I know he's been back only a few games but my gut instinct tells me Bethancourt just doesn't have it to be a starter. Still has problems with balls in the dirt and doesn't have enough bat speed to hit at this level. I hope I'm wrong.

Seems like he needs to widen his batting stance some. Might speed up his swing?

Definetely. I'm quite content right now though with wisler doing well

Well he's never shown anything to suggest he could be a big league hitter. Even when he was having a good time in AAA it was due to his 365 BABIP. Guys with a walk rate as low as his with next to no power rarely do much.

Fredi, watch wisler close. Good start, so don't let him mess it up

I've yet to see a game in which Marksberry hasn't been lit up. Hopefully, this will be the time that breaks that pattern.

Fan fell from the upper deck and they're still playing?

Reading Twitter, it does not sound good in regards to the fan that fell.

Where did he/she fall from?

Looks like from the upper deck area behind home plate.

Prayers to the guy and his family. Paramedics are trying to revive him. Why are we playing right now? This is so awful.

From what I read, the fan was acting belligerently drunk all night and was yelling at AROD when he fell.

Simmons has every right to be pissed about that so-called third strike.

A friend of my wife was down there about 30 feet from where he fell. Said she heard the guy was trying to prove to some folks he could walk on the tight rope up there and fell.

Terrible for the guy's family, but I'm hard pressed to find a reason to feel bad for him.

Awful. Just awful. Reasons aside, the loss of a life is just terrible - especially when it happens in front of so many people. I pray for his family and friends here. My heart is broken over situations like this.

Tragic for sure but don't get carried away. Sounds like he brought it on himself. Some little girl getting hit by a foul ball is a different story.

The man's ID released. Still investigating what caused the fall.

From the New York Times.

Brian McCann's wife, a registered nurse was sitting nearby and was one of the first to come to the man's aid.

Yeah. When you get drunk and bring something like this on yourself it's hard to feel bad.
