Looks like the permanent lineup is now well established....this is what we will roll with in October I would assume.

Looking forward to Beachy's third game back. I think he will roll.

No reason to give Stanton a single strike this series. Rest of the lineup should be in AAA right now.

Yelich is hitting, Marsinak isn't. It wasn't like Ruggiano and Uzuna(?) were that bad. Marlins pitching has been good. They're last in the league in just about every offensive category, tho, so if we score a few runs we should win.

I played a game of MLB 13: The Show today and Brandon Beachy threw a complete game 5-hit shutout with 0 walks and 9 strikeouts on only 78 pitches against the Phillies. I won 10-0 and hit 2 homeruns with Jason Heyward, 1 with Freeman and 1 with Gattis. I wouldn't mind that happening in real life tonight.

He hasn't hit well during his AAA stint; maybe that's the reason. Cunningham is doing pretty well so no need to rush it.

Schafer wouldn't necessarily take Cunningham's spot, he'd take Constanza's, although Cunningham likely would go when they activate Laird this weekend, so Constanza and Cunningham will both be gone before the weekend is done.

So I take it Beachy isn't really looking that great? Because, if you're like me and just following the box score/gamecast, you see 2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 18 pitches and I'm inclined to think he's pitching well. Of course you have to take any level of looking good against the Marlins putrid offense with a grain of salt.

He's got time to figure things out before the playoffs. I wouldn't trust him right now, and I certainly wouldn't put too much stock in his outing today; mainly because the Marlins have one of the worst offenses on the planet. That includes little league teams.

His fastball has always looked "straight" since he came up. He has a four seamer. What makes his fastball effective is his change up, and also dude before he got hurt, was locating pitches like Medlen was at the end of last season.

I always am surprised when hitters swing and whiff at his 90 mph fastball, but I think his delivery is kind of deceptive because he hides it for so long.
