15 of the top 23 teams reside in the AL. That's rough. The NL was very bottom heavy this year with few good teams (with 3 being in the NL Central).

One of the three best teams in MLB will be out after tonight—but the Pirates were a little better than the Cubs over the long-haul, which is why the play-in game is a joke.

This is one reason why I wish unbalanced scheduling and divisions would disappear. Just line them up 1-15 in each league and have the top 5 get in the playoffs with 4 vs. 5 in a play in-game. This year, it would be the Mets vs. Dodgers.
