I love how quick and efficient Beachy and Wood work.

They just throw strikes and say to the hitters "here you go, see what you can do".

Beachy in particular. Just an average 90 mph fastball, but an excellent change up and always around the zone so he forces you to swing. Hard to take pitches against these two because you could essentially be down in the count.

So reviews are not done by the umps on the field? I REALLY like that. Some of them are too stubborn to overturn their own calls. Knowing how things work out though we will lose a critical game in the post season due to not having replay then next year we lose a critical game in the playoffs due to a reviewed call that would have went our way if not for the replay.

Remember when we were all begging for Wood to replace Maholm in the rotation and a certain poster on here (don't remember who) was saying that losing Maholm was huge because he was averaging 6 IP per start and that Wood wouldn't be able to do that. Well so far Wood has done just that. Since Wood got moved into the rotation his outings have been 4 1/3 IP, 7 IP, 6 IP, 6 IP, 6 1/3 IP and he's put up a 2.73 ERA while doing it. Guess it's safe to say the majority of the posters on here were right about that.
