The timing of this is a bit wierd . . . Banuelos was activated from his one-day rehab assignment yesterday and optioned to Gwinnett. Since he was on the MLB DL, I suppose they had to give him one rehab appearance before optioning him?

Gant has 9 K's, 0 BB's and 0 ER through 6 innings tonight. He has given up 7 hits but many seeing eye singles and multiple bunt hits (including a bunt hit, steal, and swinging bunt hit this past inning). But he's gotten K's whenever in any trouble. Albies made his 9th error in Triple A that lead to a run scored in a 1-1 game. However, another hit past first should've been an error too and a wild pitch that later scored the runner looked like a pass ball to me. So wasn't just Albies that inning, defense was bad all around.

1-1 in 7th and only 7 innings in the DH unless still tied.

True, but also it seemed they were facing a line-up with some free swingers that may have made racking up the K's easier. Though Hoes started for Avery in the night game who K'd three times against Jenkins in the first game.
