Must be trying to get Mallex going by moving him to leadoff and Inciarte batting 2nd....interesting...

Must be trying to get Mallex going by moving him to leadoff and Inciarte batting 2nd....interesting...


this is to get FF going... Mallex has been raking RHP.. Ender is getting hot.. so if they both are on base for FF, then he might start to get some pitches to hit. I would just rather see how FF responds to a day off personally.

Get Mallex going? He's hitting .333 over his last seven games and .257 with an OBP of .366 over his last 15. That's really solid

I actually like this lineup better than a lot we have seen (with the notable exception of Aybar being there at all). Do they really think playing Aybar every day is going to increase his value? NOBODY WANTS HIM.... ESPECIALLY US!!!!

They must figure if they are going to pay him, they might as well play him.

Quite sure we'll be relieved of the burden that is watching Aybar as soon as either of Albies or Swanson heats up again - I feel pretty confident that they realize the point for him recovering any value has passed. To be honest, I could even see him being released whenever Beckham comes back even if neither of the kids heats up soon - as bad as we are, it can't hurt to play d'Arnaud at SS. Even given his struggles this year, there's likely more chance Aybar gives you anything on offense than Castro at this point.
