No real surprises. Not really sure why Bryse Wilson isn't on there, but it's probably not a big deal.

Today's lineup is interesting. Concepcion mostly played first in the DSL last year but is in left today. I was wondering which of Ventura and Pache would play center and it is Ventura with Pache in right. Cruz is at short. That's not too surprising. Jeremy Fernandez, who played a lot of short in the DSL last year is now at second. Also interesting that they have Griffin Benson hitting third. He must have looked good in the handful of practices they've had. Ricardo Rodriguez, who we got from San Diego in the Bethancourt trade, is catching and hitting cleanup.

Touki and Fried were always two guys that, when we acquired them, knew we'd have to exercise some real patience (more with Touki than Fried).Touki is/was simply going to struggle, that's the only thing about him that was certain. Fried was going to take time to adjust.

I'm assuming we'll see Anderson there soon enough along with maybe Josh Anthony?

Alan Rangel struggled to start the game, giving up a homer, double and walk in order to start the game. Since then, he's retired nine straight with six of them by strikeout. Does anyone know much about him? Just saw he's only 18 years old. This is the first time I've seen the name.

Anthony said he was going to Danville.

Randy V with an early hit and RBI. Hope this kid pans out. Love his game.

Pitched in the GCL last year. Didn't have great numbers, but was young.

Rangel up to 12 straight retired with 8 of them on strikeouts. Three of the four balls put in play since his rough start have been ground balls.

Rangel is done. Final line: 4 IP, 2 H, 1 R/ER, 1 BB, 8 K.

I think Rangel was a late signee in 2014 with some of the money garnered in the La Stella deal. Not sure on that, but that's what I seem to recall.

Isranel Wilson 4/4 with 2 2Bs and a walk in Danville's game that continued after being suspended last evening.

Dude had some crazy power last year. Hopefully he puts the ball in play a bit more.

I'm telling you, this Isranel Wilson kid. Look out. Even if he strikes out 25% of the time, his power is precocious. He's going to be on some top 100 lists soon. Wait and see. He just turned 18, and he had a .257 ISO as a 17 year old in his first go at pro ball here.

Riley just hit another bomb. 2 in 2 days. Hopefully the power switch is coming on.

I don't really think his power is something we need to concern ourselves with, it's there. Unless he increases his contact skills tremendously however, it won't matter. He'll just be another Cody Johnson type.
