Dan Uggla began his rehab at Gwinnett Monday night with a predictble 0-for-3, with two strikeouts, before being replaced in the 13-1 rout by Norfolk.

Most of the routing came at the expense of Braves “insurance policy” Freddy Garcia, who gave up eight earned runs in 3.2 innings (seven hits, five walks, two wild pitches).

How sorry a game was it? Gwinnett managed one run on 13 hits.

You mean Uggla didn't go 0-3 with 3 strikeouts???

Progress!

Progress, 1 less strikeout at a time.

Maybe just a bit excited out there. Were they backwards or forward K's?

May try to be overswinging first time out there.

Kind of disappointed in Salazar's performance so far.

I'm fine with Uggla. He will at worst be better than Janish and Johnson.

Maybe he wanted to take some swings using those new peepers, and not take some walks. I'd find it hard to go on a rehab and let pitchers dodge the zone. Hard to get work in that way.

I think Uggla should try 3-D glasses.
