Simmons woke up with the soreness on Tuesday morning and the Braves don't want it to linger. Simmons should be fine for Friday's series-opener at Wrigley Field.

It went from going out there confident in winning to going out there and just trying to tread water. Freddie Freeman said right after the injury that they just needed to keep their head above water until Heyward got back. When he said that I knew we were in danger of a tailspin like this. You NEVER go out there with that mentality. You go out there expecting to win. You go out there with a swagger.
