Had to be a reason, Wish it had been a hangover or the like instead.

Have none of you guys considered the possibility that Weigel is just going to borrow a cup of sugar?

Crap. I had him in the rotation. I thought we had a decent starter as early as next year.

Crap.

Well he now will be penciled in for bullpen action in 2019. Weigel minter for not healthy but potentially deadly back end bullpen 2020

Could be sore and they are just being cautious. Yeah. That is what I am going with and you can't tell me otherwise.

Hate to hear this news! Very nice yoing man, hope it's not serious! This is why you can NEVER draft enough pitching.

Posi-brave... derp, derp, derp.... don't even know why you get upset. Weigel wouldn't be a top 30 for the white sox

This is what happens to pitching prospects.

Among their top pitchers the Braves have a TJ, a shoulder issue and a back surgery. Most likely about to add another TJ to the group.

Better get used to it unfortunately.

It's a hazing prank...he's just going to retrieve the innards of Kris Medlen's elbow.

I feel like you'd have to slaughter a barkload of bell-sheep to safely reach that dark chthonic country.

I assume he will be a pen guy now? Any chance he stays a starter (so much potential).

I think he can definitely stay as a starter. Not every TJ guy goes to the pen..

TJ doesn't doom people... it's obviously not good, but there is an opportunity still... just to name a few, Alex Wood, Adam Wainwright, Jacob Degrom, and our very own Max Fried (who people on here still love for some reason) all had TJ before getting to Majors. There's probably countless others, but those were off the top of my head
