President Trump pardons Joe Arpaio.
No DoJ review, apparently.

Pretty bad look from your perspective, I'd think.

I continue to genuinely respect Amash, despite our differing views on many topics.
As for the question posed to him, I'd have to agree. The NSA ****ery is not a good thing.
Regarding Trump and the pardon, color me shocked that he would do something idiotic and that it would somehow be a victory for white people doing bad things to non-white people.

He is the best guy we have in congress.
And Republicans are trying to find a challenger for him in the primaries... so pathetic

He's essentially what Rand Paul purports to be.

You're a one trick pony. Are you saying you're part of the 1/3 of America that still supports this lame duck? These are basically the same 1/3 who believed Obama was born in Africa. You're in good company.

How many times did you say Trump had no chance at winning the presidency? And now you're confident that he's going to be a lame duck president? Prepare to be terribly wrong yet again.

I have no dog in the race. But it should be understood that polling in response to Trump is not going to be accurate.

Attitude polarization.

Yup. Social desirability bias is a real thing.

it is worth noting that the final round of polls converged at Clinton having a 4 point edge...and she won the popular vote by 3%

Not entirely surprising - polling traditionally tightens right before an election. What's more interesting here is how inaccurate the polls were for the ~12 months prior.

Obama people showing their hypocrisy.
Their party not only found it, they define it, live it and carry it out. that is why my Dem card is collecting dust. The things they say in their little circles is most troubling.

"The speaker does not agree with the decision,” Ryan's spokesman Doug Andres told The Wall Street Journal. “Law-enforcement officials have a special responsibility to respect the rights of everyone in the United States. We should not allow anyone to believe that responsibility is diminished by this pardon.”

I think I might have to agree with this one. I'd be willing to bet on a Trump re-election even though things can change. This country is lost.

As long as the economy keeps improving he has a chance. People will put up with a lot of **** if they think the economy is good.

I was consistently critical of those breaches, as well—but I still think Arpaio's a much worse human than Obama.

Spoken aloud: Tragedy as cover.
All Americans are human shields to any Trump whim.
Yeah, it was the most epic Friday news dump I can remember, absolutely suffocated by the Mayweather flight and Hurricane Harvey.
