Because other than baseball this is where its at.

This guy will probably go 1 or 2 overall next year and had some bulletin board material for rival QBs "South Carolina junior DE Jadeveon Clowney listed four QBs who he believes are scared of him.
Only four? Clowney specifically called attention to Clemson's Tajh Boyd, Georgia's Aaron Murray, former Arkansas passer Tyler Wilson, and Nebraska's Taylor Martinez. "He is scared every time we play them," Clowney said of Boyd. "I know he is probably listening to this right now, but I’m just telling the truth."

Not sure what to think about my Huskers this year. Our offense will probably be Top 10 in the country, while our defense will be Bottom 10. I can see UCLA scoring 60+ against us in Lincoln in week 3, and we'll have tough B1G games against Mich, PSU, NW and Mich State. I'll predict 10-4 with another beating in the B1G Championship game and by an SEC team in the bowl game. Hopefully Pelini either gets the boot or takes a job elsewhere so we can find a coach who isn't a volcanic douchebag, and who actually believes in recruiting!

If Nebraska loses more than two games this year (Michigan, bowl game & B10 Title game), they should fire him. My best friend works on the football staff so it would be jeopardizing his employment if they canned Pelini. The schedule is just so horrendous that they have to have a big year to keep the faith with the fans. Wish I could go to a game this year but alas, stuck in Indiana with my job.

Agree completely. I hate to say this, but I'm stuck in the same limbo I was 6-7 years ago when Callahan was our HC: I will NEVER root against my Huskers, but if we keep going 10-4 under Pelini, he's not going anywhere when the majority of Husker fans thinks he's doing a "good" job. And you're right, with our cupcake schedule anything more than 2-3 losses and he SHOULD be fired. Hopefully our new AD Eichorst has the same thought process? If UCLA comes into Lincoln and beats us in week 3, things could get really bumpy after that.

I just expect Nebraska to have 4 losses every season as long as Pelini is here. I also expect them to win 9 games every year with him at the helm. I think he's much like Solich in that he's good enough to win 9-10 games every year but not good enough to recruit them over the hump to a title game.

Ohio is a pretty decent team. Probably top 50. They went into Penn State and beat them last year. Just bc you don't know schools outside of the SEC doesn't mean you know what you are talking about.

Weso- South Carolina? I thought they looked bad. The offense was not impressive against a pedestrian defense. SoCa also benefited from the delay because they were gassed. UNC failed to adjust in game as well. They were so worred about Clowney, they never even looked down the field. Even when Clowney was clearly gassed (or hurt) and doing nothing or when he wasn't even on the field. They have an all american LT and still played like pussies.

They beat Penn State in the first game of the year. With a brand new coaching staff in the first yr after the Sandusky scandal. No one was even surprised Penn St. lost. If they played in week 6, Penn State beats the breaks off them.

Ohio is the same team that lost to Miami, OH by 20 points. What an awesome team they were....

I am saying I think they will be in the top 40% of FBS football (125 teams). As long as they stay healthy, which was their problem last year.

I was impressed with their defense. UNC is going to put up some points this season.

Having watched the majority of USC games the last few yrs, I would have to say you are dead wrong. He does take off plays at times, but he is without a doubt the best defensive player in college football right now. You can only slow him down for so long. Tennessee did the best job last yr at containing him, but at he finally got free at the end of the game and forced a late fumble on a Tennessee drive in USC territory

And he was indeed sick last week. That reported before the game even started. A stomach virus is going to sap your energy. But UNC still did a good job of containing him regardless.

Weso, I wouldn't write off ND yet. Gardner from Michigan is a damn good QB. He's probably the second best qb they've faced In the last year next to the Alabama QB. Michigan should easily win out and could potentially go undefeated. ND's offense looks better than it was last year. Defense not so much, but I think it'll get better. ND should still put up 9 plus wins.

I still refuse to see how that was big win for the Canes...

I would say Florida had no business losing the game...

First Downs: Florida 22 Miami 10
3rd Down efficiency: Florida 6-15 Miami 1-11
Total Yards: Florida 413 Miami 212

Passing Comp-Att: Florida 22-33 Miami 12-25
Yards Per Pass: Florida 8.8 Miami 6.5

Rushing Yards: Florida 122 Miami 50

Possession: Florida 39:20 Miami 20:40

Miami had 60 total yards after the first quarter...

Plain and simple, Florida lost because of turnovers, that was the only area of the game they were beat, which lead to the 5 point victory.

No one would have guessed that Florida would lose when they held Duke to less than 60 rushing yards, Driskel would pass for 300, and Florida would run for over 100.

Hard not to be impressed with Manziel today. Oregon and Bama have really separated themselves as the class of college football so far early in the season. Imo, Oregon is the best team in college football right now. Bama would lose if they played tomorrow, but Bama will have time to shore up a few things if they play each other. Bama still has a chance to slip up against LSU and UGA in the SEC championship game, so it's not over for them yet. In fact I wouldn't be shocked if someone snuck in and gave them a surprise upset. I just think they have issues on defense and in the Oline right now. Oregon has what should be an easy path to the championship. Stanford, UCLA and Maybe Washington are their only really challenge games. Would really be a big choke job for Oregon to not get to the national championship this year. I think in the end the SEC is finally dethroned this year.

Oregon defense is really overrated. Shutting down a Tennesee offense with Zero playmakers is not impressive. If you run the read option with an immobile QB, it's pretty easy for a defense to zero in on someone.

How bad was freakin Derek Dooley? Why is UT in the same position we were in before he was hired? I mean we should be at least at South Carolina level at this point. A very very young team with little talent in the upper class and a crap QB. What did he do for 3 years? It's just amazing. I swear Nick Saban sent him to Knoxville to screw our program. I think Tennessee's misfortune is a combo of Fat Phil, Lane and Dooley. But I think Jones will have them back sooner than later.

As for Georgia, I think our key defensive stops against S. Carolina and LSU are something to build on, and our defensive line played about as well as you can against LSU's offense. But dear god, our secondary. I'm very skeptical of us making it through the rest of the schedule to Atlanta if we can't improve there. They're young, but that doesn't excuse constantly standing out of stance not having a clue what's going on when the ball is snapped. Right now, we're just having to outscore people, and I'm not sure that will work against Florida if they can get something going, offensively.

Yes without a doubt. They hired one of the most creative offensive minds in CFB, and run the ball 80% of the time. Its kinda irritating but makes some sense. In games they should win, like yesterday, they do to this ultra conservative vanilla offense and do just enough to win. Semmingly the only time the real offense comes out is in the big games. I disagree with this so much because I feel you should work on things in games like Kentucky, and not games like LSU and Georgia

Best game UT has played in a long time. Just a typical freak play causes us to lose it. Unbelievable.

I will say that UGA played well too. No mistakes from them other than maybe a couple of drops. Pretty impressive that we were so close to beating them without any UGA turnovers.

Tennessee played with tremendous heart.

Georgia should have put the game away though. Conservative play calling with their top two backs out and a Heisman contender at QB and still ran up the middle. Then missed a FG. Then had a punt blocked, scoop and score. Why even bother sending 3 people back there to protect the punter, who wound up with a concussion?

We lost Marshall, Bennett, Scott-Wesley and the punter.

I don't even know what reaction to have for the game, other than I'm glad Murray is such a great leader, and I'm glad that ball went out of bounds in the end zone.

We're hardly the first team to survive a road game like that against a lesser team; it's just the way we played at times and the fact we lost some big players that sucks.

Vols and Hokies will play at the Bristol Motor Speedway in 2016... Seats up to 160,000 people. The stands are very far away from the infield though. Not real sure how they're going to work that out. Still pretty cool to potentially have that many people at a game.

UGA is missing a handful of key players. It's tough to keep winning against tough opponents when you continue to lose so many players.

That and you can't outslug everyone. The secondary is just absymal. They're very young, but at some point there has to be improvement, and there hasn't been. This is just as much a coaching thing. The defense has been trending downward for several seasons now.

I used to think the SEC was all about defense, but I have yet to see it this season. Michigan State really does have the best defense in the nation.

Florida's defense isn't too shabby, but that's about it right now. The SEC and much of football is becoming all about offense now.

Alabama shutout Ole Miss and they shutout held KY to 7 pts. I'd say their defense is pretty dang good. Yeah they gave up some points to A&M, but there is not a defense in the country that is going to completely stop Johnny Football.

Florida defense is very good as well. And Kentucky even gave Teddy Bridgewater some fits.

May be the offenses in the SEC have simply caught up to the level of the defenses???

Meh, they get some of the best kids in the country. It should be next 4\5 star recruit after another. If not, they are doing it wrong.

The top four should remain unchanged. After that though a ton of ranked teams lost this week. I am holding out hope that MSU gets in the top 25, but who knows. Usually when an non ranked SEC pulls an upset against a ranked SEC school it results in two ranked SEC teams.

I think you have to consider Baylor in the top 4 ahead of OSU. SEC has more parity then I've ever seen right now. And that will only continue going forward.

Glad that UT was finally able to beat a good team.
