Waters 3-3 with two doubles. Pache 1-3 with a triple.

Muller still can’t throw strikes.

Call him up for the bullpen, he would fit nicely.

some encouraging signs from Riley this season. in 99 PA, he's lowered his k-rate to 21.2% (drop of 8 points). his BB rate is up 1 point, 8 to 9.1.
BABIP is low which is leading to his just-OK batting line. but if the improved k-rate is close to real, that's a big deal.

edit: to add, his LD% is super low compared to previous years. pull is about even, but oppo is up a good bit. not sure if these are all as encouraging, but the oppo should be a good thing?

I’m a bit perplexed as to why Muller is struggling with strikes so much. He’s been my dark horse to be the best of the bunch

To me his stats just scream “working on some things” and it’s all encouraging. Love the dudes ethic and I don’t know if his future is here but his talent with the ethic should make him a useful MLB player

Any early guesses as to when pache/waters are in Gwinnett?

Right after Duvall replaces the traded Inciarte in Atlanta

Well now Ender is injured so that will be a bit tough to trade him

Another walkless outing from Newcomb. Thirteen straight innings without a walk. Must be some kind of milestone for him.

The AAA mound has been moved up to 30' and they get a screen

Can only hope that the demotion finally got through to him since nothing said to him did.

Very encouraging start for Newk. Duvall may be getting his head out of his arse as well.

I just think he's healthy.

I just think he's healthy.

Even in AAA, .315/.398 is better than just healthy. haha

If Duvall continues to hit, does he replace Joyce at some point. My fear with Duvall is that he's one of those guys that really has to play every day to produce and if he's playing only once or twice a week, he's next to worthless. That said, he's a better fielder than Joyce.

This is a perfect time for us to put Ender on the IL, bring Duvall up for 10 days and see if his hot streak continues. If it does, see if we can turn him into a bullpen piece or two
