Snit has been making a point of getting McCann some ABs against lefty pitching. Also we've been seeing some of the preferred pitcher-catcher combinations. McCann with Folty and Keuchel with Flowers.

Looking like Keuchel Game 1, Folty Game 2, Soroka Game 3, then Fried/bullpen Game 4.

If they win the WC game, Dodgers/Nats will be an insane series.

Anyone else think AA/Braves may be overthinking it only having Soroka go 1 time if he's going Game 3. Keuchel been kinda ehhhhh his last 2 starts.

A Cardinals loss or Brewers win today and the Cards will have to pitch Flaherty tomorrow. That would make him not be ready to pitch until game 2 of NLDS

Make that his last 3 starts. 3 losses, 16 IP, 21 hits, 11 ER, 7 BBs, 11 Ks.

But that's not the worst part of the Braves.

Freddie has 2 hits in his last 25 ABs.

Hopefully, Swanson and Josh have broken out of their slumps.

I know I’ll be crucified for asking, but does the team playing so terrible going into the playoffs scare anyone else? We look absolutely terrible. I get we’re missing a few pieces but dammit we are playing terrible baseball.

The perfect time would be the playoffs, this game means nothing. But it's funny how often you say things like this and then next inning the starter gives up runs.

It certainly concerns me. You want the team and as many players as possible to go in on hot streaks, and we don't really have anyone going for us.

I think Snit should run into the wall a dozen or so times before game one to fire the guys up.

Nah, it's fair, the pitching has been ok, but not many hitters are doing much of anything. It's fair to worry.

Point is the 1995 team finished 100-44. 56 games over .500. That would be 110 wins in a full 162. This year's version is not even close to as good.

Lol almost every single part of that statement is incorrect...

The 1995 Braves were 90-54.

They were 36 games over .500.

That .625 winning percentage would be 101 wins over 162 games.

Further, had they actually gone 100-44, that would translate to 112 wins over 162 games.

You literally couldn’t have been more wrong.

The Indians went 100-44 that year. No way the Braves should've beaten them.

That was when we were in the middle of a long stretch where the best regular season team didn't win the World Series. Which really sucked, as the Braves were the best regular season team for a lot of those years.

The obvious point being made here is that these guys are good. Judging them on their performance after they clinched and put it in cruise control is silly. This is a good team. Getting nervous because they backed it down a notch this past week and they aren’t on fire individually during meaningless games is silly. Enjoy the ride. Gonna be fun.
