Only 21 games in Rome last summer, but given the damage he did it's going to be interesting to see if Bryce Ball gets a bump to Florida so Backstrom can get the ABs in Rome this year.

Edit: can a mod change the thread title to 2020 Minor League Levels? Plenty of guys that could be talked about under that umbrella rather than starting threads for each.

(Player contracts would not kick in until the season after they are signed.)

Yet another avaricious detail of this anti-labor plan.

Such a nakedly penurious proposal by MLB: a lot of losers (fans; smaller communities and their tax-payers, who’ve already footed stadium development bills; minor-league players—both those that wouldn’t be paid for a full year of instructional labor, and those that would now be shunted to indy leagues), and for what? For some marginal parity improvements (harder for teams like the Yankees to hoard prospects) plus some major financial windfall for corporations that already get the silver-platter treatment (tax breaks; public financing; anti-trust protection).

The sorry condition of the Kissimmee field much of the last two seasons would seem to mandate a move elsewhere. Would FSL OK them putting the team in Sarasota? I can't imagine them going back to Disney, although that would probably be the easiest move logistically.

Our FSL team is moving to our spring training home in North Port about 30 miles south of Sarasota. Both our GCL and FSL teams will be playing there.

The nice thing is that they don't have to rebrand. Love me some Fire Frogs!
