This is close to the ideal lineup...
HOWEVER
Flaherty has a career 2.500 OPS against Velazquez with a HR
expecting a yuge game from Inciarte
Markakis continues to ball
not sure I like Acuna 2nd, might take away from his aggressiveness given he may have to advance a runner. I could see him slotting into 3rd and Freddie cleanup though.
I thought we might be facing a lefty when I saw this lineup. I like it, but I wonder how Inciarte feels about being in the 9 hole since he’s been fire lately.
Acuña might see more FB if he shows patience. No way they are walking him in front of FF.
Yeah I think the Braves aren't going to be more traditionally inclined with that hole anymore. Maybe some cases, rarely, like a 2 on and 0 out situation, you'll see some bunting to advance runners (in any case outside of Freddie) but outside of Inciarte and Albies trying to bunt for hits, we've seen maybe...one case where a position player gave themselves up with a sacrifice.
Soroka scratched today... methinks he may be starting in ATL this week
I LOVE this lineup. Thank you, Snit!
And I bet Soroka is up as well.
It's possible we have Soroka, Gohara, Newcomb, folty, and McCarthy as a rotation next week
I wonder if AA finally ripped into Snitker for his trash lineups he's been writing out lately.
Apparently they're keeping Soroka ready in case Julio can't go.
